Sturdivant Electric Corporation Case Study
Order Description
QUESTIONS:
Harris Johnson was extremely concerned by the problems he confronted at the end of the case. Given that he lacked formal authority to intervene, he immediately contacted top management at Sturdivant who ordered him to act immediately to diagnose and correct the dangerous situation that the project seemed to be in. And they gave him the green light to act in any way he thought best to ensure the delivery on time of the product that the client had contracted them to deliver.
You work for a top consulting firm and Mr. Harris Johnson hired you as his consultant and advisor. He asked you:
1. To identify the behaviors of the 3 main ‘actors’ in the situation described in the case, Eden, Abrams and Harris Johnson (what they did and failed to do) that contributed to the conflicts between them and to the final set of problems Johnson faced at the end of the case. (70% of grade)
2. To identify the most relevant circumstantial factors that may have also contributed to those conflicts and to the risk of failing to deliver a product that the client will accept. (30% of grade)
