Terri Schiavo

  As you know in a very famous case, Terri Schiavo passed away several years ago in accordance with a court order for what was essentially ‘non-voluntary passive euthanasia’. Or so it was routinely described, anyway. Does that description seem accurate to you? If not, why not? (500 words) Categories Wenz carefully distinguishes voluntary and involuntary euthanasia. He makes no mention of the category of 'non-voluntary euthanasia". What effect does his ignoring that category have on his analysis? Similarly, how does Wenz's description of the category "active" euthanasia differ from Hope's? On Wenz's description would Terri Schiavo's case be active or passive? What about on Hope's? (300 words)
