1.) How would you describe the company's organizational culture?
2.) What are some key takeaways that you have been able to learn about the company by conducting this research?
Nintendo’s organizational culture can be best described as family-oriented and creative. From its humble beginnings starting out in 1889 as a playing card manufacturer, the company has grown into an international powerhouse that continues to bring joy to millions around the world through its innovative video game products. Much of this success comes from their focus on fostering relationships with workers and customers alike; they strive to create a positive work environment for their employees so that everyone is able to deliver their best work without feeling overburdened or undervalued. Additionally, employees are encouraged to think outside of the box when it comes to developing new ideas for games or finding solutions for existing problems – something which has been credited for many of Nintendo’s breakthrough successes such as Mario Kart or Wii Sports Resort.
The importance placed upon customer relations at Nintendo is also evident; throughout my research I found several reports about how much effort goes into creating lasting relationships between staff members, partners, distributors and gamers alike by providing personalized customer service that caters towards each individual’s needs. This commitment extends beyond traditional customer service practices such as offering pre-order bonuses or discounts – they even go so far as sending greetings cards on special occasions! Alongside this approachability with consumers, another key aspect of their corporate identity is instilling responsibility among their employees across all levels - from top management down to entry level positions - encouraging everyone within the organization not just “Do your job” but “Be responsible” too..
Overall my research suggests that Nintendo places great emphasis on creating a friendly yet productive working environment where creativity flows freely while being mindful of maintaining strong relationships with both customers and colleagues alike. Through these values combined with quality assurance checklists before launching any product (ensuring everything runs smoothly) plus detailed market analysis prior roll-out plans (enabling them pick up quickly on trends), it's no wonder why Nintendo remains successful after over 100 years in business!
