You did such an amazing job with the Department of Insurance Licensing Bureau change transformation the Secretary appoints you as the new bureau director upon the retirement of the previous director. You recognize that without a system to reinforce the new Lean improvements they will not “stick” with the frontline employees. You also recognize you need to create a document to help you keep things on track and moving forward. Your guiding principles in the design of this document are:
Focus on activities and behaviors that demonstrate leading with respect;
Make the development and coaching of frontline employees a central theme;
Realize that you are now a higher level manager and the more strategic your focus must be in this position.
