- Watch video and write a 2 page paper comparing and contrasting
the trumpet styles of Louis Armstrong (video Learning the Blues), and
Miles Davis (video Blue in Green). Be specific and descriptive, discuss
the difference in trumpet performance, range, timbre and expression. - Consider this a type of music with which you are not at all familiar. In
your report/critique, you should employ musical terms (e.g., tempo,
dynamics, etc.) acquired in this course, indicate musical culture, genre,
instrumentation, give some background information about the performing
artist, and your impression of the level of artistry present in the
performance. The terms are found in chapter two of your text book.
All papers for this class are to be in 12-font, double-space and typed.

cited source in MLA format for all such works if you include any
background information on the artist. Avoid plagiarism at all cost. Follow
