2000), pp. 23-37.
You will prepare up to 3 Powerpoint slides and email them to me one day ahead of your presentation. The slides should include:
1) a brief narrative of the reading’s main argument (using your own words);
2) 2-3 quotations that you would like to discuss together with the whole class;
3) 3 questions that address the thesis of the text, draw connections between the text and art practices and/or create correlations between the text and other
readings. These questions should open up the floor for class discussion. Avoid questions that can be answered by yes/no.
During your presentation, you will:
explain whether you agree or not with the author’s argument
evaluate the evidence provided by the author
highlight strengths and weaknesses of the text
consider how the ideas discussed in the reading relate to those expressed in other texts and/or to artworks outside the scope of the reading
