The Gender Wage Gap is/is not justified.
The Gender Wage Gap is/is not justified. (Gender Communication & Culture class)
Order Description
write an 8 – 10 page paper. have a minimum of eight reliable, credible, timely references for this paper (avoid biased sources). You may use the text for this class
as a resource, but cannot include it as one of the eight references required.
For the research paper assignment, you will choose a gender related issue from the list below and research both sides of the issue. Your task is to convince me,
through your research on both sides of the issue, that one of the views is stronger or more accurate than the other. Based on your research, you will take a stance
regarding the issue and will argue that stance.
The format of this paper should follow the APA Documentation style. If you require information on APA, you will find it at
https://owl.english.purdue.edu/owl/section/2/10/. If after looking it up you still have questions, please contact me and I will provide additional information
necessary. You will be graded on consistency, fluidity, writing competence, grammar, research, and the strength of your argument.
The introduction of your paper should present both sides of the issue. You should also include your thesis statement, your belief that one of the views is stronger or
more accurate than the other, and preview of the rest of the paper.
The body of your paper should provide the following three sections.
(1) The first section should include an explanation of one side of the issue. Be sure to answer the following questions with this section: What side is being
represented? Who (as far as researchers) supports this view? Why do they support this view? What information supports this view? Be sure to include all of the details
regarding this view and support for it.
(2) The second section of the body should include an explanation of the opposing side of the issue. Be sure to answer the following questions with this section: What
side is being represented? Who (as far as researchers) supports this view? Why do they support this view? What information supports this view? Be sure to include all
of the details regarding this view and all support for it.
(3) The third section should include your argument supporting one or the other side of the issue. This should be a well-developed section that provides your stance on
the topic. Be sure to use the information from the first two sections to support your argument. Obviously, your grade will not be based on whether or not I agree with
your judgment, but rather on how well you supported your argument using facts and statistics, examples, opinions, and any other tool you find appropriate from your
research. The purpose of this paper is to inform me about both sides of the issue and then persuade me to believe your stance. Be sure you provide as much information
as you can for both sides. I should not be able to tell which side you agree with in sections one and two of the body. In other words, neither side should be slanted
in those sections. They should both be objectively presented. The subjectivity does not come into play until section three.
