The Most Exciting Experience In My Life
A first ever vacation trip to the beautiful island of Samoa to meet my grandparents and family for the entire summer. We exchange conversations, spend time with each other and we go exploring the surrounding islands. We cook and enjoy the delicious traditional foods of Samoa. Our family and friends perform the Siva Samoa with other great songs. The story must have a dialogue with conversations between each family member and all characters must be introduced.

My Grandma and Grandpa were excited to see me as soon as I arrived in Samoa. “O le matafaioi!” Grandpa exclaimed, welcoming me with a big hug. “Welcome to your new home, girl” he said.
Grandma was beaming from ear-to-ear. She ran over and gave me a tight embrace. “E leai se fa'amalo e fea fiafia i ni outou?” she asked, her eyes twinkling with joy. This meant, "Can you guess how happy we are to see you?" I smiled back at her and nodded my head in agreement; it seemed like I had been away for too long already!
The next day our family gathered together for lunch and conversation. We talked about all kinds of topics: the changes that had occurred on the island since my last visit, what everyone had been up to while I was gone, family stories shared between us all…it felt so natural being around each other again after such a long time apart!
We continued exploring the islands surrounding us during the remainder of the summer months. On one specific trip we came across some neighbouring villages where we got to experience traditional dances performed by locals – simply mesmerising! It truly felt like one big celebration amongst friends and family; clapping hands along with their rhythmical chanting in Samoan made for an unforgettable performance that brought tears of joy streaming down my cheeks!
At night we would always prepare dinner together using local ingredients from our own garden or bought at nearby markets - there's nothing like some homemade Samoan food cooked on an open fire under starry skies…yummmmmm!!! To top it off we'd often sing songs known as 'Siva Samoa' which were completely unfamiliar to me but absolutely beautiful nonetheless - it felt almost magical knowing that these same songs have been sung by generations before us just as they will continue being sung by those after us! What an amazing tradition :)
Lastly but certainly not least, we spent plenty of quality time exchanging life experiences with each other making this vacation one I'll never forget nor regret!
