“How is the Nation of Israel special in the Bible and today?” What I am getting at here is whether Christians today can draw direct applications from Israel’s story in the historical books of the OT. For example: If Israel had kings, does that mean we shouldn’t have democracy as a form of government. Those sorts of issues. What can we carry over from Israel’s story and what no longer applies?
