The Ones We’re Meant to Find by Joan He

In some ways, “The ones we’re meant to find” by Joan He inverts the typical structure of a dystopia– instead of the individual separating herself from the masses and declaring her unwillingness to go with the flow due to the problems she sees, we have individuals recognizing their own roles in the problems around them, and then sacrificing themselves for the greater good. What did you think of the story in this regard– do you think we should have more stories like this? Are there others out there which are similar?
