    Description     "Two Kinds" by Amy Tan, a narrator or protagonist who, at some point or throughout the narrative, is overwhelmed with dissatisfaction or confusion about their life's circumstances, personal relationships, and life choices. In many ways, the story functions as a character study of an individual attempting or wanting to transform or understand their life or their relationships, but unwilling or unsure of how to do so. - write an argumentative paper addressing the existence of their main character's unhappiness or identity confusion. - explaining how it is revealed in the story, and suggesting where the unhappiness stems from. - The thesis and body of your paper should argue for multiple causes of the character's dissatisfaction or confusion, noting the internal personal reasons and the external social and/or political ones, while also suggesting how this character experience of dissatisfaction relates to the story's thematic meaning. - When determining how the story's meaning relates to its main character consider if your character achieves freedom from their dissatisfaction or confusion. If so, how? Or do they remain trapped by unhappiness9 If so, why? Use your answers to these questions to make a connection between the main character's experiences and the broader message the story is trying to convey.
