Theory of place to your favorite sport venue
Apply the theory of place to your favorite sport venue. In your initial post, which of these elements would be most important to you as the consumer? Which of these elements would be most important to you as a sport management professional?
The elements that are most important to me as a consumer include accessibility, safety/security measures, atmosphere/ambiance and visual appeal. With its convenient location near public transportation (subway lines 4 & 5), parking garages nearby and plentiful taxis around the area, access to Yankee Stadium is relatively easy compared to other stadiums across the country. This is especially appreciated by those who live outside NYC or who visit from out-of-town. The stadium also employs various security measures such as metal detectors at all gates to ensure fan safety during events; this sense of security allows guests to relax and enjoy their time at the ballpark without any worries or fears which makes for a much better overall experience. Atmosphere/ambiance plays another big role when choosing where to watch a game; with its traditional design featuring Monument Park behind home plate filled with statues devoted to legendary Yankees players throughout history and extremely passionate fans filling up nearly every seat on any given night, no other stadium can quite match what you feel when inside “the house that Ruth built”! Lastly, visuals are also key for fans wanting an unforgettable baseball experience; not only does Yankee Stadium feature beautiful views overlooking Manhattan from certain sections inside but each game ends with fireworks shooting into the sky above centerfield just before midnight - creating lasting memories that no other ballpark can replicate!
If we turn our attention towards what matters most for sport management professionals running facilities like these then we must look at sustainability efforts within Yankee Stadium. Sport management professionals should be attempting cutting edge strategies while still preserving historical aspects— something both new owners James Dolan & Hal Steinbrenner have successfully accomplished over past years since their purchase in 2014 by replacing old locker rooms/clubhouses with state-of-the-art training facilities while still preserving sections like Monument Park as well as providing delicious local food options – thus giving back to community businesses while adding unique flavors found nowhere else! Other elements important here would include attendance figures (capacity + ticket sales) which could be enhanced through more innovative marketing campaigns targeting potential customers based on age group & location demographics via social media platforms etc., opportunities for corporate sponsorships & advertising networks along with long term strategic planning initiatives designed towards furthering sustainability efforts previously mentioned so that future generations may continue enjoying this magnificent facility for years ahead!
