Explain and analyse, using a relevant theory and literature, how children’s play in the early childhood years is influenced by culture. Identify 2-3 issues that educators may face in promoting culturally relevant play. Make 5 recommendations, supported by theory and literature, that can be used by educators to promote culturally relevant play for children from diverse cultural backgrounds in early childhood settings, in collaboration with families.
