Torture Justification

  Order Description   Tortured Justification(s)- Debate -Absolutist vs Utilitarian view points on torture. A position paper, is where students will be invited to engage in one of the theoretical and conceptual debates introduced in class, and to position themselves within that debate’ Engage with at least five of the readings highlighted. Your position paper will be assessed according to the general criteria: structure; clear argument; clarity of expression (i.e., use of language, spelling and grammar); and conformity with referencing standards. It will also be assessed as to whether it has addressed the following specific questions: • Have the different positions in the debate been identified? • Have their arguments been presented accurately? • Are the themes under debate identified and developed? • Have the provided sources been used fully? • Is the debate evaluated critically?
