Transitions

In your own words, explain what “transitions” are and why they are important in a writing class. Then, give an example of a transitional expression, a pronoun reference, and repetition of a key word, phrase, or idea from Russell Baker’s essay “Becoming a Writer” (325-328). For each of these three examples you give, explain the positive effect the transition has.
