Description Unfortunately, the recent outline for the federal budget submitted to Congress by President Trump includes massive cuts to humanitarian programs that help the disabled, the hungry, and those without medical care; the cuts would also be targeted against the sciences, the arts, diplomacy, foreign aid, and the environment. --Select one of the specific programs that is facing funding cuts—one that interests you and that you believe should be preserved or even expanded rather than being reduced or eliminated, because it improves people's lives, either as individuals or as communities. --Research what the program is, why it was created, what is its history, how the current budget proposal would affect the program, and—most importantly—how the cuts in funding would negatively affect individuals and communities served by the program. --Argue why the program should be maintained or expanded. Include BOTH practical reasons AND ethicaVmoral reasons for doing so.
