In the video lecture about "The Short Happy Life of Francis Macomber" the professor makes much of the word it at the end of the story. Margot, the wife, says "Stop it" numerous times—in fact it is the only reply she makes to Wilson, ending with: "Oh, please stop it. Please, please stop it."
