Watch Jonathan Haidt's talk (opens in new window) on the primary elements that define where we fall along the conservative/liberal spectrum. Then arrange to have a 15-30 minute discussion with someone outside of our class to discuss Haidt's ideas, preferably someone who has very different political/philosophical perspectives than your own.
