Kennedy's time in office was referred to as the “Camelot Years" since it was a short period of great optimism and cultural hope.
The America of the 196os also saw a rise in consumerism with an emphasis on materialwealth and consumption. But, in recent
years, America's consumer culture and the idea of the “American Dream" has come under examination.
Respond to the questions below.

Locate a photograph that captures what you think the American Dream meant in the 196os and a photograph that captures
what you think the American Dream means today. You may use personal family photographs or others you may find on the
