Why ancient greeks were not able to forge any kind of national unity
Order Description
Choose one of the following questions to answer in 3-4 typed, double-spaced pages (see below for additional formatting details).
1). In a well written and well constructed essay what reasons could you give to explain why the ancient Greeks were never able to forge any kind of national unity, but
were seemingly always engaged in warfare with one another? In your essay you might include what types of unity or control they tried to exercise over one another.
2). Athenian democracy is often criticized. In a well written and well constructed essay, give some of the reasons why the Athenian democracy is so often criticized
and whether or not you think such criticism well founded or not well founded, and why you think so. A sense of time would be greatly appreciated.
3). "The Roman Empire never fell." In a short, but well written essay explain how that phrase can be justified. For this question, as indeed for all questions, a sense
of time is always and deeply appreciated.
