“Why do firms become multinational enterprises? Using examples, explain what motivates organisations to engage in international business and how they internationalise” Order Description This is an academic essay, so should be written in a formal academic style. Do not simply describe what businesses did to internationalise, with a brief history of their operations. You should carefully explain their motivations and activities using academic theories and frameworks to support your argument and analysis. These frameworks and theories will be from the lectures(refer to International Business by Alan M Rugman), workshops and extra reading from books and journal papers. Main Theories from lectures are : Globalization, FDI,: Trade flows and trade theories, Political environments,Cultural environments,International monetary system,Mergers and Acquisitions,Multinational enterprises, Multinational strategy, Multinational organisation,Corporate strategy, Co-operation and alliances, Innovation management,Entrepreneurial processes, Developed or "old" world regional strategies,Emerging or "new" world regional strategies,Ethics, sustainability and MNEs,(Il)legal international businesses. Extra credit will be given for essays that provide a critical account of the internationalisation process and if it was successful. Please use the business examples I have chosen: " Success and One of the Top MNEs In China Sinochem Corporation" and mainly focus on the area of Chinese MNEs including failures and success to use as examples. Also mention theories in the introduction briefly but with a deeper explanation in the body paragraph.
