Order Description

a Bilingual Education class for a Bilingual Certification. I currently don’t teach a bilingual class, I teach an ICT 7th grade special ed class. FYI The text that is
select two (2) articles that highlight a particular aspect of Bilingual Education from scholarly journals published within the last five years.
be three (3) to five (5) pages long providing summaries of the articles with a reaction to them, and comparing/contrasting of the content and the authors’ opinions.

Please have a copy of the articles attached to your paper. The paper should be submitted in MS word format, only. The format of this paper is as follows:

A. The title of the article and the author.

B. At least one paragraph summary statement about the first article
and what you propose to discuss.

C. A reaction to the content of the article (see Article Critique below);

D. Follow a, b, and c when working with the second article

E. The final part will be to compare/contrast the two and your
conclusion.

F. The conclusion should focus on your reaction to the articles and the impact on you, your specific classroom environment and the profession.

The reaction paper is to be typed, double-spaced, Times Roman 12 font, and done in accordance with the APA format wherever applicable.

Be sure to include the information at the top left of the beginning of the message: name, course and section, date and assignment.

Article Critique Guidelines

The summary and review of the article should be no more than 5 pages in length and should include answers to the following:

What is the thesis of the author?

What are the major points made in the article?

What perspective does the author have on issues of bilingualism, or the education of English language learners?

How does the author support his/her position? Are research data provided? Historical data? Personal experiences?

How do the author’s ideas support or challenge the content of our course?

What are the implications of the author’s ideas? Do they call for policy changes for linguistic and cultural minorities? Do they suggest a need for more research?

What do you think of the author’s ideas? Do you agree or disagree with them? Why? Are the ideas implementable in a classroom environment and how?

 

Critique the articles and discuss the implications for instruction.
