Intelligence; for Policymakers

1. Considering the issue of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) and their nuclear weapons/missile programs, and the closed nature of the country, how do you propose collecting intelligence on these programs? Which intelligence products from various ‘INT’s’ (HUMINT, GEOINT, etc..) are needed/possible to facilitate an accurate assessment of their capabilities and intentions?
2. Discuss in detail the steps in the intelligence process, and at least two problems inherent with each step. Include in this discussion the challenges that exist in the relationship between the intelligence community and policy makers.
3. Discuss in detail the concept of MICE. What it means and how it applies to counterintelligence/counterespionage (What does the IC do to identify vulnerabilities at each step).
