Theoretical Orientation

 

Describe the theoretical orientation that guides your work with clients, including major philosophical beliefs and concepts of client change. Examples of
client dynamics and counseling interactions are required.
Use the following theories:
Psychoanalytic/Psychodynamic Therapy
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
Acceptance Commitment Therapy
Neuroscience/Neuropsychotherapy
One theory must be Client Centered as the common factor of all theories. The narrative must fully explain the suitability between who you are as a person
and the theory’s concepts and techniques. Describe how these theories fit with your personality and values. Describe how you will use the theoretical
concepts & techniques with clients who present with a variety of concerns. Explain how and why you would use the specific techniques and how the specific
theoretical concepts serve for case conceptualizations. Be sure to logically show how the several theories fit together into an integrated orientation.
