Reflection of clinical journal

 

The student will compose reflection of nursing practice each week and submit to Clinical Faculty. Reflective journaling is an excellent way to capture the essence of our profession. Nursing students benefit from spending time reflecting on their practice experiences and their reflections demonstrate the aesthetic knowing of nursing. The students will use the conceptual framework pillars to describe their practice that is founded in caring, uses critical thinking and communication to demonstrate professionalism and wholism.

Specific examples may be cited to illustrate how the Conceptual Pillars were exemplified and may be useful for the following:

– When describing professionalism, specific examples may include, but are not limited to: competence, legal, ethical issues, political and economic issues; particularly if issues arise during the experience.
– Use of effective communication and critical thinking
