Changes after Hurricane Katrina

Part of homeland security is preparing for and responding to natural disasters such as Hurricane Katrina. By almost anyone’s measure, we did a less than optimal job of responding to Katrina. Following Katrina, many changes were made to address the issues that surfaced including changing the NFP to the NRF, developing and improving NIMS and ICS, clarifying roles and responsibilities, and creating policies.

Analyze and explain one of the topics/issues/organizations listed below.
