Interventions with juvenile delinquents

There are currently several approaches to handling interventions with juvenile delinquents. These are: (1) Predelinquent programs, which are designed to stop delinquency before it begins; (2) Preadjudication programs, which try to keep delinquents out of the juvenile justice system; (3) Postadjudication programs, which place convicted offenders under the formal control of the state for the purposes of rehabilitation, or overall deterrence; and (4) The mental health system, which is designed to use group and individual treatments such as group homes or residential treatment centers as a way of controlling the individual who may have been labeled a juvenile delinquent.
Instructions: You must decide which of these interventions, (in your opinion), would be the best overall approach to handling juvenile delinquency, and then describe, evaluate, analyze, and defend the type of intervention you have chosen. You should be able to make an intelligent choice by following the main PowerPoint presentations.
