Description

Game Rules:
You begin the game with $100,000.
There are three investing options – stocks, mutual funds, and crypto.
The currency for the game is US dollars.
You determine where and how to invest your money.
The commission for each trade will be charged at a cost of $10.
There are several tools available to get investing tips, and feel free to refer to outside resources such as the Wall Street Journal, Forbes, or Jim Cramer’s Mad Money.
This assignment requires that you answer the following questions:
List the stocks that you traded and how each one performed.
Discuss the overall performance of your portfolio.
Describe your investing strategy.
Discuss the resources you used to research your investments.
Identify and discuss the factors you think are important when investing in the stock market.
Identify the factors that you considered when investing.
As an investor, are you risk-averse or risk-taking? How did you come to this conclusion? What factors would you consider in determining an investor’s willingness to avoid or accept risk?
Define an initial public offering (IPO). What are the risks and rewards of investing in an IPO?
Describe your overall experience.
