The Jacksonian Era, the “Age of the Common Man,”

Historians have long called the years between 1829 and 1840, or the Jacksonian Era, the “Age of the Common Man,” but many question whether this title is appropriate.

Is this a fitting description of this era in America (about 1829 to 1840)? If not, is there an alternative title you would propose?

Note that the Jacksonian Era refers to all the events and trends between 1829 and 1840, including, but not limited to, what can be attributed to the actions of President Jackson or his administration.
