Ethical analysis

Description

Focus on minority groups ,African American and people of color in general.Conduct an analysis of a specific target population, by identifying, defining, and applying the perspectives of 3 main ethical frameworks discussed in the course materials and utilize learnings from the textbooks, blackboard, class discussions and the literature. In this paper you must apply the three primary ethical frameworks covered in the course—utilitarianism, deontology and Rawls’ distributive justice. Please cite your sources and follow APA standards, including the use of a cover page, headers, and references. Your positions will be graded on the basis of:

Clarity – Are your positions clear or do they need more clarification?
Relevance – Is your reasoning relevant and supportive of your ethical positions?
Depth – Are your reasons and insights sufficient to address the complexity of the social problem?
Logic – Are your combined thoughts mutually supporting and support your overall?

• Choose a population (or sub-population) and a social problem that you are interested in examining. In other words, think about the question: Which area of social work practice are you interested in and what population do you want to advocate for? [For example: Children and Health Policy; Elders and Food Security; LGBT Youth and Housing; Veterans and Substance Abuse Treatment; Young Men of Color and School Discipline; Adults with Intellectual Disabilities and Employment].
• Be sure to make the case that this is a social problem with a few facts and statistics about the problem and the population.

• Consider how responding to this social problem through social policy is a matter of life or death for your chosen population. Use citations to back up your claims.
