Summary of “Learning By Degrees”

Writing a summary isn’t easy. But it’s an essential part of absorbing and organizing information. It’s also a key critical thinking skill. To hold another person’s ideas in your mind, and to explain them clearly to someone else in your own words by knowing what to include and what to leave out – and all this without necessarily agreeing or disagreeing, or including your response – that is a seriously important and useful cognitive skill.
