Description
The paper should describe the social issue chosen. It should outline the general dimensions of the issue: How many people are affected by the issue? (i.e. how many people are in poverty, how many children come from divorced families? How many women are victims of domestic abuse? How many people work at the minimum wage?) and discuss the consequences of the social issue for individuals and society in general.
Papers must be at least seven (7) double spaced pages, exclusive of quotations, tables and figures.
MLA Style Work Cited with at least four (4) published sources (not web site only) such as journal articles, research studies, scholarly analysis, reviews of literature or books – at least TWO (2) of which must be from a book.
Web only sources will not be counted towards the four (4) required published sources and should not be listed.
Website bibliographic references or database references are not sufficient and will not be accepted without a clear citation of publisher, author and publication date.
