Write your introduction (background and thesis statement), and then write one section (one major point) of your essay. This may be one body paragraph or more, depending on your point. For example, if you are using block organization for a compare/contrast essay, you will probably have one long body paragraph that discusses all f the points for one subject of your comparison. If you are using point-by-point organization, you will have two paragraphs: one for subject A and another for subject B.
