Shams Dubai solar program

Shams Dubai, launched by the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (Dewa) in early 2015, is an initiative towards promoting the use of clean and renewable energy sources. The initiative encourages household and building owners to install solar panels panels to generate electricity, and utilize the produced solar energy to reduce their monthly electricity bills.

You are part of a team of stakeholders including households, industrial units, environmentalists, suppliers, financers and real estate developers engaged by DEWA to help analyse the possible impacts of this initiative towards ensuring a sustainable future for the Emirate. Your report will be submitted to DEWA.

Identify who the stakeholders of this project would be. Each student will think from one stakeholder’s point of view. This will require gathering information on the Shams Dubai Solar Programme from the Internet and other sources.
The social and impact of this project may include impact on the environment and the economy.
