Description
Rad chapter 9 and chapter 12 of the book “Correctional Administration: Integrating Theory & Practice”.
You also need to read the National Institute of Corrections (NIC) “Guide to Preparing for and Responding to Emergencies”. Pay close attention to pages 7-10.
When thinking of emergency plans developed by prison and jail administrators, one often thinks of riots or escapes. However, a Warden must plan for any conceivable emergency situation. Assume you are the warden of a prison that is in the path of a hurricane. Develop an Emergency Plan to prepare for this type of disaster.
To assist you in preparing your emergency plan, I have put a copy of the National Institute of Corrections (NIC) “Guide to Preparing for and Responding to Emergencies” in your Content section of Blackboard. Pay close attention to pages 7-10.
