An economic consultancy firm has asked you to write a report on the relationship between gross domestic product (GDP) per capita and economic freedom. In particular, they would like to know whether the GDP per capita had a positive impact on the economic freedom in 2018.
To allow you to do this, they make available data on GDP per capita, economic freedom index. GDP per capita is measured in constant 2010 United States dollars and economic freedom index is an index that covers twelve freedoms including property rights and financial freedom. The data is provided for the years 2016-2018 for a sample of 186 countries and is taken from the World Bank and Heritage Foundation. It is available on the Economic Methods section of DUO.
Perform an analysis of the data and write a report based on your findings. Your conclusions should be supported by relevant graphs and rigorous statistical analysis.
