Write a five-paragraph compare or contrast essay, not both. Each paragraph is five to twelve sentences in length. Do use the block or point-by-point method for the essay. (one or the other, not both). Begin with an attention grabber. Write an explicit thesis. Begin each body paragraph with a topic sentence. You may select a topic from suggested topics at the end of the chapter or you may choose your own topic. Read the chapter in your textbook on Compare/Contrast Essay or the information provided in D2L under CONTENT for Compare or Contrast essay. Also, read the chapters on the introduction, body, and conclusion.
