It’s best to shoot to observe one on each of the following levels: • early intervention level or preschool level (birth – age 4) • early grades level (K – 2) • upper elementary level (3 -5) AND / OR • junior high to high school level (grades 6-12). Total time of video(s) should add up to be between 1 – 2 hours. AND—you must provide the link to the video and the link must work in order to get full credit! Answer the following questions about each of the educational setting(s) you observed: 1) General background of school: where located, nature of neighborhood, and students. 2) What are the teaching methods and assistive technology devices you see utilized? 3) How do the children respond to these teaching strategies / assistive technology devices? 4) Discuss the diversity you observe in the class (race, ethnicity, language, learning abilities) 5) How well do staff address issues of diversity? 6) What was new to you and how did you benefit from watching this video? 7) General Summary & What else would you like to learn? / What new questions come to mind?
