samples of the resume and cover letters for you to use. Your follow-up thank you letter
should be in the same business format as the cover letter, but with a brief paragraph
thanking the interviewer for their time. The outline for Part 2 of your Portfolio is below:

20 points) Provides both a thank you and cover letter that are specific to a nursing
position. Supporting documents provide insight in to the position being sought, highlights
professional skills, and includes contact information written in a professional tone. Cover
letter includes work philosophy and career goals. 13 points (11-13 points) Submits either
a thank you letter or a cover letter that provides general information in regard to the
position being sought. Some professional skills included. Work philosophy and goals are
included, but not elaborated on. 10 points (0-10 points) Only submits one supporting
document, or submits two that are very generic in nature, do not highlight individual
strengths in regards to the specific position or identify professional skills. Does not
include either work philosophy or goals. / 20 Spelling, Sentence Structure, Organization
and Grammar 10 points (7-10 points) Excellent spelling, sentence structure and grammar
throughout the assignment. Excellent organization and easy to read. 6 points (3-6 points)
Some spelling, sentence structure and grammar errors. Paper generally is readable.
Some organization problems. 2 points (0-2 points) Numerous spelling, sentence
structure, and grammar errors throughout the paper. Difficult to read with very little
