In this part of the assignment, you will read then analyze the case Balanced Snacking. To access the case, you
need to navigate to the Harvard Course Pack for our course. The link to purchase the course pack is in the
Syllabus document found in the Syllabus area of Canvas. You’ll see the course pack link under the ‘Required
Readings for Purchase’ heading in the Syllabus document.
Once you have read the Balanced Snacking case study, answer the following questions:
What process did the entrepreneurs use to identify the consumer problem they wanted to solve?
What main customer insight led them to design their solution?
What questions did they aim to answer through their prototyping process?
How did they design their ideation process to deliver the required result?
How should Gautam and Ken address the questions they’ve raised? What kind of hypotheses, prototypes, and
market tests can they run at a low cost to further prove the business model?
Part 2: Solution Development (1 page)
Answer the following questions about your unicorn company. Provide references for your responses.
Based on your research, how specifically did your unicorn company identify the main problem they planned to
solve?
Describe the steps they went through to develop and test their solutions in the early stages.
Describe the solution they came up with, and why this solves the problem and how it is/was superior to
alternatives.
