Write an individual essay based on a topic of your interest. In your essay (4-6 pages), discuss your individual
assessment of the role of activism in addressing the problem and suggestions on additional forms of activism.
You should specifically address two of the following issues: local ecological democracy, transnational networks,
corporations and privatization of environmental governance, and slow violence/environmental injustice. Your
essay needs to cite at least four course texts from the first half of the semester (i.e., through October 7).

doing a great job against climate change if its through activism or actions.
