Write a review of any book you are utilizing for your research paper. Your review must be 500-800 words, not
including the heading. The review must identify the book¿s central thesis and summarize its content. It may
also give an assessment of the book¿s strong and weak points. Cite any references or quotes in an
appropriate format.
The heading for your Book Review must follow the basic format used for book-review headings by The Journal
of Southern History:
Title of Book. By Name of Author. City of Publication: Publisher, Year of Publication.
Your own name and institutional affiliation must appear two lines below the end of the book review.
