Health IT evaluation
In the previous case analyses, you identified sociotechnical issues. This week we will exploring how to measure these issues for evaluation. Once again, you will be analyzing the same case that you have analyzed for the Module 1, 2, and 3 case analyses.
Identify a net benefit for your case.
HOT-fit has three factors — Technology, Human, and Organization. Identify one issue in a dimension from each of the factors. For example, the Human factor includes the dimensions System Use and User Satisfaction. Discuss one issue from system use or user satisfaction related to your net benefit.
Explain how you will measure each issue. What data will you need to collect to assess that issue? Use Table 1 in Yusof et al as a starting point. For instance, if you are measuring user attitude of what? To measure attitude, you will need collect data about satisfaction of specific functions (which ones?), perceived usefulness (usefulness for what?), etc. Your measures and data should be specific to your case.
