Cost-Benefit Analysis

Project Selection
Now that your project topic has been approved by the instructor, we can start the actual course project. The first part of the project will have you go through the project selection process and give a recommendation to your supervisor (your instructor) what project should be selected. You will need to perform the following tasks:

You will need to create data as needed (best guess when appropriate) to perform the following calculations for your approved project topic:

1) Net Present Value

2) Pay Back Period

3) Cost-Benefit Analysis

4) You pick one additional model to use

The deliverable for this part of the project will be a letter to your supervisor (your instructor) that explains your project and why it should be selected for funding (provide in an appendix the work for each calculation). You can assume that your project is competing against two other projects for funding. In this letter you will need to include the four (4) calculations listed above and a rationale for your recommendation along with an appendix with your supporting work for the calculations and any other relevant material.
