I love this statement! I think there’s a misconception that adulting means we can no longer give in to our inner
child. That we must suppress our creative thinking and elaborate notions of what if’s and maybe’s. This is
supported by institutions like schools and corporations who stifle our creativity and expect us to conform. We
sometimes get annoyed with children, as when told to do something they constantly ask why. But we should
ask why we don’t. Their minds are constantly racing with fresh new ideas and concepts, that though may seem
otherworldly, fosters continued growth. That desire to learn and know and create should be encouraged well
into our elderly year
