- Connect to the audience and establish
your credibility by leading with a hook OR
by telling a personal story about why this
topic is important to you
- More fully explain your main idea clearly
and with conviction, that is, why should
other people care?
- Support your idea with hard evidence
from quality sources (you must do some
research – provide 3 pieces of evidence )
- Give your audience calls to action (it’s
about them, not you. Three calls to action
are most effective)
