This assignment requires you to watch Motivation in action: Case study examples. This video presents four workplace cases. In each case, you will see an employee suffering from a motivation problem in the workplace. It will be your task to identify the root cause(s) of demotivation for each case. Consider individual motivations, job design, goals, involvement, pay structure, and rewards systems. While you may readily identify causes, keep in mind that this is a scholarly analysis. It will be important for you to be able to explain your analysis in terms of the motivation theories and related materials that you have covered in class. After watching the cases, you will write your analysis in a paper.
In your paper,
• Write an introduction that addresses motivation in the workplace.
• Describe each of the four cases.
• Identify the potential root cause(s) for each case.
o Consider individual motivations, job design, goals, involvement, pay structure, and rewards systems.
