I assume that a Qatari company (Katara Hospitality) that operates internationally wants to enter the country’s
market under study (Turkey). Based on the analysis taught in the course of environmental factors, it is required
to give a detailed description of each of the following administrative practices that the company must follow in
that country (compared to what it already follows in the State of Qatar), with a focus on the following:
o Formulating the strategy:
What is the appropriate strategy (especially the entry strategy) that should be followed in the host country by
the company.
Human resource management practices:
What are the characteristics of the human resource practices to be followed in the company in the host country
(from the process of recruitment, training, performance evaluation, compensation, and other various human
resource practices)?
o Leadership and motivation:
What is the appropriate leadership style to follow (characteristics of effective leadership) in the company
branch in the host country compared to what it follows in the home country? What is the appropriate method of
motivation to follow (that is, what motivates local workers in that country) in the company’s branch in the host
country?
• The report must also include one case study (at least) of a multinational MNC company operating in both
countries under consideration, with the aim of identifying the most important differences in the administrative
process of this company. Each team should give a specific set of recommendations to the multinational
organization operating in both countries in order to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of its performance
in those countries.
