Organizational Redesign Imposed by Natural Forces COVID-19 impacted many individuals, businesses, and their communities around the world. The need to impose strict regulations on individuals and businesses, how they operate personally, in their work capacity, socially, and within the community. It restricted air and travel industries, restrictions were imposed to wear protective equipment, unemployment sky rocketed, medical institutions were overrun with COVID patients, and employees were classified as essential and non-essential. The death rate skyrocketed in some areas and were maintained in others. The testing procedures were improved with time, the vaccine being perfected by many different entities for future use to reduce COVID impact, and systems and protocols set in place to protect individuals and employees. Imagine yourself as a manager of a business in your state; the success of your firm depends on your ability to adapt, to protect your employees, your customers, to be able to provide a quality product or service. Directions: Analyze the impacts—beyond mere loss of revenue—on your business as a result of the COVID19 virus. Propose actions you will need to take, in light of those impacts, across your business functions in order to protect your firm’s assets. Formulate how you are going to manage customers’ expectations. Discuss how you are protecting the health and safety of your employees? Define and evaluate efforts you made within your business, its processes, offerings, and service.
