After your inspection, pick one product and look for more information about one of its chemical components, which may cause negative health effects. Search for more information about this chemical (or a product) on the following sites: www.CAS.org, www.CDC.gov www.CDC.gov/NIOSH, www.FDA.gov, or www.EPA.gov. 2) Shortly describe the chemical (include the name, CAS number, chemical properties, and applications). 3) List possible health risks. 4) Can people protect themselves from the negative effects of this chemical? 5) Can this product be replaced with a “safer” one? 6) Provide the name of an alternative product and copy/paste the link. Read the information under the tabs Overview and Objectives. Think about any neighborhood that you know and describe one environmental problem that can be changed by applying one of the objectives. 1) In a few sentences, describe one environmental problem which exists in that neighborhood. Provide additional details about the location and population. 2) Describe one objective (from Healthy People 2030) addressing the same issue and suggested actions. 3) Based on the recommended action, describe what intervention may be successful in your community.
